Guitar & Bass Lessons
Private Guitar & Bass Lessons: We offer private guitar and bass lessons (acoustic and electric) in a variety of styles, including Rock, Jazz, Classical, and Pop. We have many outstanding guitar teachers and can find the right one to accommodate your needs and interests. All guitar students develop skills in theory, proper technique, note-reading, and ear-training. They also learn how to jam with other musicians as well as how to perform solo.
Private lessons range in length from 30 minutes or 45 minutes to an hour long. Our guitar instructors are all highly trained musicians and educators, who are also active performers.
Typically we recommend waiting until a student is at least 8 years old to begin guitar or bass lessons, as it requires a certain amount of fine motor skills and strength to form chords on the fret board. That being said, occasionally students may start younger with a smaller, specially-sized guitar.
Group Guitar Lessons: Our group guitar lessons are designed for students who are motivated by or just enjoy working as part of a team. The social interaction helps these students stay motivated and challenged in a supportive, friendly environment. Each class is a 45 minute session and is limited to just 8 students per class. The class room is set up as a guitar workshop with each student bringing his or her own guitar to the class each week. Students can choose either acoustic or electric guitars for their class. Students will either progress into the next group level or into private lessons. These classes are meant for beginner level students. Group guitar classes are offered for students ages 8-12 and ages 13 plus.
We offer private lessons in Ukulele. This small, four-stringed instrument is perfect for beginning musicians to learn, since the basics are very simple. For more advanced guitar players or other musicians, learning the Ukulele can expand your musical palette while providing a fun creative outlet.
Ukulele lessons are offered in 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 1 hour formats.
