Open Mic Nights 2015
An "open mic" is traditionally an event where audience members have the opportunity to perform music or poetry at a microphone. Our open mics are a fun occasion for students to perform in a laid back environment.
Held on select Fridays in our Recital Room at 6:30 pm.

Holiday Recital: Friday, December 19th, 2014
Friends and family are invited to attend our Third Annual Holiday Recital on Friday, December 19th. We will once again hold this recital at the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, located at 1045 Old Academy Rd in Fairfield.
There will be two separate sessions to accommodate the large number of performers. Any changes to your recital time must be made by Monday, 12/8.

ny student requiring accompaniment should contact the front desk ASAP to schedule their 15 minute rehearsal time with our accompanist for Friday, 12/12. These spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. There is an additional fee for this service.
Bring-a-Friend Week: October 13-18, 2014
Music is always more fun when shared! Students may bring a friend (or friends) to observe their lesson during the week of October 13th Teachers will hand out invitations the week before for students to give to their friends. For more info, please contact the front desk.
Halloween Howl: Friday, October 24th, 2014
Our first performance opportunity of the year is a casual, kids-only event. Costumes and spooky music are encouraged! We will also be holding a Food Drive for Operation Hope. Participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation that evening.

After all the practice and study on your instrument, learning to improvise and to play with others can be some of the most rewarding musical experiences. Matt Oestreicher and Joe Gray from Your Time To Shine! will be presenting an interactive workshop that focuses on these skills and more. The workshop will involve audience participation, so be prepared to play along with us if you would like.
We will take you on a journey through musical styles and show you what gives those styles their characteristic sound. We will also demonstrate how anyone can improvise. Come and share in the joy of music making with us!
"Your Time To Shine" is an exciting new variety show at downtown Bridgeport's Bijou Theater. Aspiring professional singers, musicians, and dancers compete for prizes with a cast of mentors and experienced professionals who have worked and performed with everyone from Stevie Wonder and Jon Bon Jovi to Kevin Hart and Will.iam. Faculty Recital: Saturday, November 15th, 2014
Students, families, and the public are welcome to join us for our Semi-Annual Faculty Recital. Enjoy an afternoon of eclectic musical selections performed our talented faculty members. Past concerts have included music by Mozart, Regina Spektor, John Hartford, and Wes Montgomery.
