Practice techniques & strategies for handling performance jitters

From 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm

At The Recital Room at Fairfield School of Music

FREE for FSM students & families. $10 suggested donation for non-FSM students.

**UPDATE:  This workshop has been postponed to the fall - date TBA**

  • Are you new to performing and want to learn some tips to prepare for your first performance?
  • Are you a seasoned performer who struggles with performance anxiety?
  • Are you interested in learning music at a deeper level for both greater performance readiness and greater enjoyment?

If you answered 'yes' to one or more of these questions, then you will benefit from this interactive workshop, presented by FSM Co-Director, Tracy Carlucci.

Students will learn practice techniques to better prepare their recital pieces, as well as strategies to cope with the inevitable performance jitters.  While it's normal and even beneficial to feel nervous before performing, those jitters can sometimes hinder our ability to give our best performance if we do not know how to handle them properly.

Those attending should bring the sheet music for their June recital piece (or any other piece they may like to perform in the future), although they will not be required to participate if they'd rather just observe.

This workshop is open to instrumentalists and vocalists of all ages.

To participate, please RSVP below by Friday, May 26th.
